One of the things I don't think you understand is what those particular sites are showing. I come from one of those states that you call a taker. This state is in a place where every one of the heads of iceberg lettuce going to New York, at this time of year, will pass though this state. You see if it was not for that federal money, that you believe to be welfare and being paid to individuals for laying around all the time doing nothing, the interstate system and other infrastructures through our state would not be there. If they were not there then California would not be able to sell thier goods in New York, as well as items being made in New York would not be able to be sold in California. I think Chik-Fil-A announced recently that they would not be making any more political statements. That sounds to me as though the boycott worked at least well enough to shut them up.

Under the covers they probably still donate to right-wing causes, and I don't know anything about their personnel policies, but they perhaps learned earlier than the GOP that you can't piss people off and then hope to have them as customers (or voters).

I still think the Citizens United decision was a really bad one and needs reversal. There's too much corporate money in politics in this country. They are beginning to learn their lesson, however. More people unemployed means fewer people to buy goods of any kind, at any price, no matter where made.
