Being a conscientious consumer can be tiring work. And for most of us, we simply do not have the time to shop for the perfect bargain.
Retailers understand this. They bank on the fact that you will most likely buy the product – even though you know you’re getting ripped off.
Well, my friends, it’s about time we do something about it!
We want to hear from you: What are you paying too much for?
Maybe your dry-cleaning or dog food. Maybe it’s breakfast cereal for your kids.
Email us the description of the product and the price you paid for it. Please include your contact information and we’ll do our best to find you a better deal.
We all hate to overspend. So let’s team up and start saving money!
Oh! Let me be the first to offer a solution to this problem-----you can protect yourself by NOT buying so much stuff!! It is as simple as that!
It is much easier to shop when you are not shopping so much.
Many, many things that people think they need, they really do not need. The advertising media has created a false "need" for everything from a special cleaner to clean your bathtub with, to the latest electronic device.
Having made that point, I would nominate eye glass frames as being among the most price gouging product that I buy. There is absolutely NO reason for a bit of plastic to cost so much! C'mon! Hundreds of dollars for them? Hubby just bought some of the cheap Walmart frames, and I defy anyone to tell the difference between them and the ones he paid hundreds of dollars for! I am going to take a second look at Walmart's offerings.
Second on my list are tooth implants. Yes, it does involve a medical procedure. But, the price! What ever warrants the high price put on tooth implants? Sure, it will command a price, but such a high price? It is so hard to shop medical/dental services!
