Deal of the day: Down comforters

Wouldn't it be nice to curl up with a warm down comforter after a hard day of Black Friday shopping?

JCPenney is offering a doorbuster deal on reversible comforters of any size for $32.99 from 4 am to 1 pm Friday, and Kohl's is offering similar down comforters for $39.99 from 3 am to 1 pm. The comforters' regular retail prices range from $130 to $200 depending on the size.

If you want to cybershop after turkey dinner tonight, the same comforters are on sale right now on JCPenney's site for between $80 to $100; and for under $80 at Kohl's.

JCPenny is 40 miles from me, that's 80 mile round trip. I wonder if they got more then 1(one). Stay tuned folks HAPPY HOLIDAYS GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS

    Although the artical mentioned that Penney's has them for $80-$100 right now online...they actually had them listed at $39.99 (any size) at the site. I just bought a couple...so save yourself the road trip!

              I was very disappointed with JC Penney's online ordering site. Too much volume today I guess. It was unresponsive at times and for the first 3 tries it showed only 1 of the 2 items in my shopping bag when I went to check out. So each time I had to start over. On the 4th try, it did not let me put the promo code for today's special of $15 off when spending $75+. I was purchasing $79.98. I tried to call but there is a recording saying to to high call volumes they can not take the call and to call back later! And then it disconnects you!! I am VERY, VERY disappointed in the quality of service!

                I was VERY disappointed with the online ordering site for JCPenneys. I tried 3 times to place my order. Each time it would only show 1 of the 2 items in my shopping bag. On the 4th try it showed both items but then it charged me shipping which was suppose to be free and it would not let me put in the promo code for the $15 off if you bought $75+. I bought $79.98. By that time the order was placed and I could not go back.

                Then I tried to call Customer Service and I got a recording saying due to high call volume the call could not be answered and I should call another time. Then the line was disconnected! I tried to email for help but got a standard response that JCP employees were off celebrating Thanksgiving with their families. On Black Friday?? Not the responses I expected from a major retailer. Are they really hurting that badly that they can't get my order correct or be available to fix it when their system does not work correctly!! Now I will have to continue to get in touch with them to either cancel the order or fix it. Just more work on my part and not worth the supposed savings!

                I STRONGLY suggust you AVOID ordering online at JCPenneys! What was to be a quick order, is turning out to be a NIGHTMARE!!
