Breakfast’s summer of discontent

It has been the worst summer ever for breakfast lovers.

Eggs tainted by salmonella.

Bacon prices skyrocket.

Thomas’ English Muffins and Hostess are in a legal battle over “nooks and crannies.”

Sausage king Jimmy Dean dies.

And now coffee prices are rising.

Somewhere, Mrs. Butterworth is shedding a tear.

Hey, oatmeal is still the best bargain going! And oats are probably the most nutritious grain we can put in our bodies.

Live chickens are cheap and pay for themseleves with your own egg supply

The best bacon is precut slabs from a farmers market also cheaper

Hostess makes crap and who wants an english muffin anyways make home made biscuits

Sorry for the loss of Mr Dean but the sausage sucks anyways get Gunnoes or jamestown or pride of virginia. then cook it yourself then make gravy. Precooked sausage bleahhh

People drink too much cofee anyways, you should be able to get going without it. The high caffeine causes hypertension and vertigo. Try more sleep and a cup of tea instead.

Bottles don't cry and none of the above affects Mrs. Butterworth anyhow.
